아브라함에게 전해진 복음

갈라디아서 3장 8절(또 하나님이 이방을 믿음으로 말미암아 의로 정하실 것을 성경이 미리 알고 먼저 아브라함에게 복음을 전하되 모든 이방인이 너로 말미암아 복을 받으리라 하였느니라, 개역개정)의 아브라함에게 전해진 복음은 무엇이었을까?

아래의 번역 성경들은 아브라함에게 복음을 전한 성경을 구약 성경 또는 모세오경이라고 지칭하거나 이해하고 있다.

King James Version (KJV): And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.

New Life Version (NLV): The Holy Writings said long ago that God would save the people who are not Jews from the punishment of sin also. Before this time the Holy Writings gave the Good News to Abraham in these words, “All nations will be happy because of you.

Complete Jewish Bible (CJB): Also the Tanakh, foreseeing that God would consider the Gentiles righteous when they live by trusting and being faithful, told the Good News to Avraham in advance by saying, “In connection with you, all the Goyim will be blessed.

Orthodox Jewish Bible (OJB): And the Kitvei HaKodesh, having foreseen that Hashem would yatzdik (justify) the Goyim by emunah, preached the Besuras HaGeulah beforehand to Avraham Avinu, saying "VENIVRECHU VO KOL GOYEI HA’ARETZ ("All the families, peoples of the earth will be blessed in you" BERESHIS 18:18; 12:3).

그러면, 구약 성경에서 아브라함에게 전해진 복음을 무엇이고 어느 구절인가?

믿고 의롭게 되는 복음은 어제나 오늘이나 영원토록 동일하신 예수 그리스도를 믿는 복음 뿐이다. 다른 복음은 없다고 갈라디아서 1장은 경고하고 있다.

그런데, 구약 성경에는 아브라함이 예수 그리스도를 믿었다는 구절이 없고 여호와의 말씀을 믿었기 때문에 의롭게 되었다고 말한다.

여호와께서는 아브람, 하갈, 그리고 이스마엘에게 자손이 많은 것이라고 말씀하셨고, 셋 모두 믿었다.

자손이 많을 것이라는 여호와의 말씀은 복음이 아니기 때문에, 그 말씀을 믿었다고 의롭게 되는 것은 아니다.

갈라디아서 3장 16절(이 약속들은 아브라함과 그 자손에게 말씀하신 것인데 여럿을 가리켜 그 자손들이라 하지 아니하시고 오직 한 사람을 가리켜 네 자손이라 하셨으니 곧 그리스도라, 개역개정)

그러면 아브람이 무슨 말씀을 믿고 의롭게 되었나?

대부분의 성경들이 창세기 15:5를 잘못 번역하고 있기 때문에 답을 줄 수 없다.

그러나 KJV(And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.)이 암시를 준다.

대부분의 번역들은 count/count 또는 number/number로 번역 했는데, KJV은 tell/count로 번역한 것이다. tell/tell로 번역했어야 옳았다.

맑은 밤하늘에 보이는 별들이 엄청나게 많은 줄 아는데, 뭐하러 세나?

여호와께서 아브람의 시력과 산수 실력을 점검하시려고 세어보라(count, number)고 명령하신 것이 아니고, 하늘 별자리들에 계시된 예수 그리스도의 복음에 대하여 말해 보라(tell)고 질문하신 것이다.

아브람이 지극히 높으신 하나님의 제사장이었던 멜기세덱에게서 태고복음(Primeval Gospel)을 배웠다고 생각하는데 엉성하게 설명하자, 여호와께서 예수 그리스도의 복음을 정확하게 설명해 주시자 아브람이 믿고 의롭게 된 것이다.

우리가 갖고 있는 성경의 어느 부분도 아브라함 시절에 없었으므로 우리가 갖고 있는 성경은 아브라함에게 복음을 전하지 않았다.

따라서 갈라디아서 3:8이 말하는 성경은 노아 홍수 이전부터 있던 태고성경(Primeval Scripture)이다.

And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to tell them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be. And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness. (Genesis 15:5~6 KJVupdated)
